I found this thread the same way you just have and I can honestly say that joining the UKC was the best thing i've done since I download EVE. I've learnt so much in my short time with the corp and the community spirit with fellow corpies is great. UK pilots need look no further. You just found your new home. :D

Experienced player?
Join the UKC and become part of one of the founder corps in one of Eve's largest and most powerfull alliances, Lotka Volterra.
With full access to our own region of 0.0 space you can reap the rewards of high bounty npc's and rare ores.
If PVP floats your boat, there are regular alliance ops and more than enough opportunity to get out there and kill some s**t.
Those of you with an industry head on your shoulders could join our TI team and take part in our extensive operations in both empire and 0.0. Including T1 and T2 sales and production.
New to the game?
Our dedicated and hardworking training team will see to it that you receive all the knowlege you need to help you further your life with the UKC. Regular corp ops and at least 4 training ops in all aspects of Eve are organised every week.
We'll see to it that, whatever your chosen profession, you'll receive training and guidence to enable you to become a fully fledged part of the team.
What are you waiting for?

Hi Zorthal, there's a number of reasons for UK only players but mainly on timezone and language issues.

Samba, We have a very strong pvp side to the UKC and I think you'd fit in well. The only thing you might see as an issue is that we do have a mandatory weekly mining op that is vey important to the corp but that would be the only mining you'd be asked to do and you're only asked to commit a few hours to either mining hauling or spawn tanking.
